PhD Seminar: Marta Połeć, Street Performers entrepreneurship

Short bio:

Marta Połeć is a PhD candidate in Humanistic Management at the Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland and articipant of the Jagiellonian Interdisciplinary PhD Programme.

She holds a Master's degree in Culture and Media Management from the Jagiellonian University, a Bachelor's degree in Management and in Ethnology from the University of Warsaw. Currently she is leading a research project: ‘Organizational Ethnography of Festivals of Street Performers’ (2021-2024, Preludium, National Science Centre, Poland). She was a manager of a research project: ‘Ethnography of Informal Organization of Street Artists in Poland’ (2014-2018, Diamond Grant, Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education). The participant of the Street Music Research Unit. She is laureate of the scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding achievements, and another one from the Rector of the Jagiellonian University. Her research interests are focused on informal organization, cultural entrepreneurship, street performances, urban sphere and ethnography.
